Race to The Red Carpet

To celebrate the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's new exhibition, “Superfine, Tailoring Black Style,” this year's Met Gala featured the dress code “Tailored to You,” inspired by the exhibition's theme of Black dandyism and the importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora.

The gala provided the perfect backdrop for Tommy Hilfiger to prove that real style is about more than trends — it's about confidence, individuality and a sense of cool. Damson, along with entrepreneur and fellow brand ambassador Sofia, channeled the energy and spirit of Tommy into bold red-carpet statements.

A rouge tuxedo in a reimagined heritage check adorned with gold beading, satin lapels, and gently flared pants, merged modern dandyism with Damson's impeccable taste. Sofia's ecru ball gown, featuring a voluminous dandy-inspired bow, embodied her effortless cool style. The added twist? A classic cummerbund, transformed into a sophisticated neckline and back detail, nodded to the Gala's menswear-inspired theme.

Tommy embraced timelessness with a TOMMY HILFIGER x Denis Frison tailed tuxedo made from vintage cloth with pinstripes. The look included a classic white shirt with a coordinating bow tie, a pique waistcoat and elegant tuxedo pants. His wife Dee took a contemporary approach with a tailored gown that featured a cinched waist, a structured shoulder and a scattering of shimmering crystals and rhinestones.

Arriving in style, Damson emerged from an APXGP car from the "F1" film wearing a Tommy jumpsuit and a dazzling red, white and blue helmet adorned with 20,000 Swarovski crystals. He shifted gears after his major debut, stepping out of his race suit to reveal the sharp tuxedo with shining accents underneath.

The Hollywood star then joined Sofia and Tommy himself — along with the designer's wife, Dee — all wearing their custom looks for the occasion.
